Water Distiller Quick Facts
What Is Distilled Water?
Distilled water is any type of source water that is boiled until it has been converted to pure steam vapor which is then cooled to be condensed back into the liquid water state, (water converted to steam and then condensed back to liquid.) In the process, the contaminants that were in the original source water are left behind in the boiling chamber to be discarded, and only the pure distilled water is collected for use.
How Do You Make Distilled Water?
To make distilled water you must boil water until it becomes pure steam vapor and then cool the water vapor to condense it back to it’s pure liquid water state. Although distilled water has been made in various ways over the centuries, (with fire and evaporation), the most convenient way to distill water in modern times is to use a good quality water distiller such as those available at H2o Labs.
What Is a Water Distiller?
A water distiller is a device that removes contaminates from water by converting liquid water from any source to steam by boiling it and then condenses the pure steam vapor back to the liquid water state. The pure distilled water is then captured in a collection container for use and the contaminants are discarded from the boiler.
How Do You Operate a Water Distiller?
To operate a water distiller; Remove the distiller head to access the boiler, or remove the water source tank; Fill the water distiller boiler, (or source water tank), with regular tap water; re-attach the distiller head or the source water tank to the distiller; position the collection container to capture the distilled water as it is being made; plug in the power cord; and push the start button. The distiller will shut off automatically after the distillation cycle has completed.
